Project Title

Amaranth #44

Role

I was brought on to the Amaranth staff in the fall semester of 2018 as a Graphic Design intern. I worked with the editorial board throughout the year to design the 44th annual journal. The theme of the year was mythology, interpreted in many different ways from religious to fantastical. My job was to create a book that tied everything together and existed as an impressive physical object, all while sticking to our budget. I negotiated with the campus print shop so we could use paper with an aged appearance for our journal, while adding a flycover wrapped around the book.

The final book is a 2019 Magazine Pacemaker Award winner.
